The PaTaKa app (DDK test)
A digital version of the clinical-standard diadochokinetic (DDK) test, the PaTaKa app extracts acoustic metrics from the patient's speech signal, then calculates their DDK rates (AMRs and SMRs) and standard deviation from the norm.
The SpeechLight Vision
Our vision is to empower clinicians to exponentially improve outcomes for patients with speech and neurological disorders, through more timely, more objective and more collaborative insights.
By combining advances in speech recognition, mobile, and cloud-based software with leading industry research--and some help from you, our clinicians--we will together make this happen.
Speechlight develops apps and cloud-based software that improve a clinician’s ability to assess and diagnose speech disorders and other conditions related to brain health, through the analysis of speech biomarkers.
Research & Technology
The SpeechLight software employs a neuropathophysiological model based on the seminal work of Darley, Aronson, and Brown and ongoing research at the Mayo Clinic.
The acoustic analysis technology powering Speechlight was developed at the University of Notre Dame’s Mobile Computing Lab, where researchers today continue to advance our ability to link speech to cognitive disorders. Learn more...
